A Different Kind of Spiritual Community
Unity Church of Raleigh is not a traditional church. We are an inclusive, positive, practical spiritual community that honors the teachings of Jesus while welcoming wisdom from all spiritual traditions.
Founded on the idea that God is not a distant judge but an indwelling presence of love and wisdom, Unity teaches that each person has direct access to divine guidance. Prayer is not about petition — it is about aligning with the Truth that already lives within you.
We believe in the power of affirmative prayer, the practice of spiritual principle in everyday life, and the inherent goodness of every human being. You do not need to change who you are to belong here.
Our Core Beliefs
Unity is not a creed-based community. We do not require adherence to a specific set of doctrines. These beliefs reflect the shared principles that guide our teaching and community life.
God Is All and Is Good
We believe in one Presence and one Power — God — the good, omnipotent, and omnipresent Spirit that is the source of all life.
The Christ Within
We believe that each person has an indwelling divine nature — the Christ — the perfect spiritual expression of God within every human being.
The Power of Prayer
Affirmative prayer is the practice of aligning thought and word with spiritual Truth. Prayer does not change God — it changes us.
Scripture as Metaphysical Wisdom
We interpret the Bible as a rich spiritual and metaphysical text — a guide for inner transformation, not a literal historical rulebook.
The Law of Mind Action
Thoughts held in mind produce after their kind. We are co-creators with God, and our thoughts shape our experience of life.

Rev. Ellen has led Unity Church of Raleigh with warmth, depth, and spiritual wisdom. Her teaching is practical, inclusive, and deeply rooted in Unity principles.

Music Ministry & Leader of the Uh-Huh Band
Gregg leads our Uh-Huh Band and music ministry, filling our Sunday services with original songs and soulful music that lifts the spirit.
Prayer Team
Our lay ministry and volunteer team serves in prayer, community care, hospitality, and the many ministries that make UCR thrive.
